I have the rather nice A197XP vaio laptop.
But the 64mb ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 isnt quite as powerful as I'd like.
ATI do a 128mb version of the same card, does anyone know if you can upgrade to this card?
Might cost a few bob - but it'll save me having to shell out for a new desktop, just to play DOOM III and Half Life 2...
Well if you don't want it I'll take it off your hands lol
Just kidding, the graphics card is not upgradable.
lol can u not make sticky posts in this forum?
that question has been asked about 20 times in the last few weeks...
but i dont blame people considering there isn't a search function

am i right in thinking its embedded and intergrated which cannot be upgraded,
if you want upgradable graphics in a laptop is there any other choice except "ye great ones" alienware (bless my bank balance and i will have one)
The concept of upgrading notebook graphics cards is only new, so it's going to be expensive to do so.
Most graphic cards in notebooks are integrated or work seperately, but are part of the motherboard structure.
