A317M and Recovery DVD

Hello to all VAIO users
i wanted to ask a question about recovery procedure on this laptop...i had some problems with it lately.
i burnt the recovery dvd with sony recovery utility (i used a sony dvd+r 4,7 GB). but when i wanted to use it, the following happened :
booting from dvd was perfect, i could choose my restore options, but, just when the recovery process starts, in same second as program begins to erase c:/ drive, i get an error message saying "impossible to lock drive 2:2". and of course recovery utility stops here and c:/ drive can't boot anymore.
i tried several times, but everytime, i get exactly same error.
i could press F10 at startup and use recovery utility from hidden partition, but...does anyone know where this error can come from ?
Thanks for your help in advcance
Regards

Did you check for a recovery update on www.vaio-link.com, sometimes it fixes these issues

Yes, i checked and installed every official updates available for my laptop.
i thought this way too, but in fact, my problem is that my vaio is my only computer (and i need it  ). so i wanted to ask if people have ideas about this error before making a recovery for test.
Thank you, Kee-lo for always answering me so fast
