I have installed Windows XP Professional on my VAIO and installed all the drivers supplied with it (extracted form the recovery disk). All works fine except the modem driver and the audio driver. When I install the modem, and select the .inf file, no modems are displayed to install in the select list.
If I install the audio drivers (with the setup program), an error occur and no audio drivers are installed.
Has somebody a workaround?
I have already test to install Windows XP Home with the recovery disk and upgrade it to XP Professional and all works fine, but I want to do a clear Windows Installation, because I don't want the lot of software supplied.
