[a397XP] who manufactures the standard memory modules in vaio's

some asked me about the manufacture of my VAIO VGN-A397XP standard memory! i had no answer, i thought sony produces the memory by his own, ...but another company does it!

does someone know who the manufacture is?

In most VAIOs the memory is manufactured by a company called Infineon.

Some use Samsung too

Samsung are pretty massive for making memory chips, Micron (Crucial) are another compatible brand.

I think samsung make the chips that go into most RAM, ROM and Flash memory in the world to be honest. They basically sell to all the main manufacturers around the world, and make memory for everything from SDRAM to MiniSD cards.
