AC Adapter not working

I have a 3 year old VAIO VGN NR10E/S and the AC adapter has suddenly stopped working. There’s 220v going into the adapter and nothing coming out, and the green LED has stopped glowing. The laptop indicates that it isn’t charging.

Is it worth trying to get it fixed? Should I just look online for a replacement?
Thank you for any help you can offer.

Hi rokline,

As a genuine AC adaptor will cost as little as £25 I doubt that a repair, if possible, would be economic.

Have a look here.

Yes I see what you mean -- I think I'll just go ahead and order a new one.

Thanks for your help.
