Accessing BIOS Setup for VDG-LV1S

I have a VAIO VDG-LV1S which has had the operating system removed. I am trying to install UBUNTU from an installation DVD. How to i access BIOS setup to configure it to boot from the CD drive? I have tried all the usual keys after switching it on, but with no luck.

Do you mean VGC-LV1S?

To enter the BIOS tap F2 at boot.
