Help please form anyone who has experience in the new Vaio's.
I wish to buy myself a new Vaio, at the mo I have a PCV-RS402.
One of my main uses is to edit video and create DVD's. On looking at the spec of new Vaios such as the LT1M I see the CPU is only 2 GHz where as my old one is 2.8. Is this a downword step, can it cope with video editing?
I cannot afford to spend much more than a grand.
Help much appriciated.
Hi Carolyn,
Remember the new machines are using Core 2 Duo Processors, so you have TWO X 2 GHz processors on board.
If you are using Digital Video, have a look at these models: -
VGC-LM2E
VGX-TP2S (No Screen)
VGN-AR61M
XGN-FZ21S
If you are using Analogue Video, I would stick with your present RS302 and upgrade the hard disc and the Graphics card. Vista Media Centre is a bit of a pig with analogue capture.
Yeah as Blencogo says it's 2x2Ghz, 4Ghz.
Usually one does the video, and the other the audio, perfect for what you want to do.
Depends on how serious you are about video editing, and the hardware you own?
Thanks very much guy's for the information, very helpful.
