Any info about DW D56A-V2

Hi Guys!
I had a DVD Writer problem, too. Mine was Matshita UJ840D. After 5 months buying a fs-285m, it got broken. I sent it for a repair and haven't get it back yet. But I've checked the repair status, and it is replaced with a DW-D56A-V2. After reading all your queries, the only thing that gives me a little hope is it is (I think) version 2.

Do you have any info or experience with this suspicious one?

This is a new one on me - I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the V2 is better than the original!!!!!

thanks for your reply...how long have you been using this one? can you use all brand CDs or DVDs? Does it bring up problems? Have you done any firmware updates?
