AR11M Notebook HiFI noise with AC Power problem

Having just recently purchased an AR11M I find when I plug into my HiFi from the headphone socket (not ideal - why not include AV out ?) I have no problems when running on battery but as soon as the AC power is put in there is significant noise to the Amplifier for every source selection on the Amplifier. Anyone had the same problem or has found or can suggest a solution. This is a bit of a problem for a media notebook.

Dekesh - changed the settings to check and set the screen to go off after 1 minute. Had absolutely no effect on the noise problem for me. I get a variation in the noise type although not the noise volume depending on what the machine is doing. High processor draw increases the noise perception and lower decreases it to the background noise type. I am sure you are right that power draw affects the level or type of noise as there is no problem whatsoever without the power supply connected regardless of activity.

Sounds like the internal shielding of the unit isn't right, probably best to ask VAIO-Link about this.
