automatic laptop wake-up

Hi!
Is there any way to make automatic laptop wake-up after stand-by? I have a component to grab television but it can't wake up a stanby mode alone! Help me pls

What device are you using and does it appear in Device Manager.

Most Devices have the option to wake the system from Standby.

Right-click on the device and choose Properties or Power Management. Is there a check box "Allow this device to wake the system from Standby"?

You can do this with a USB mouse.

Come to think about it, I can't picture how your device is going to work in this way.

You would normally have some software with any TV Tuner which will allow you to set program times. This software would then use the Event Service to bring your Vaio out of standby.

Did it come with a disc?

It has his own software that permits (teoricaly) to set stand-by pc and than wake it up.

I can't find the device in Device Manager! 😕

When the device is plugged in it should appear under the Sound, Video, and Game Controllers subtree.
