Bought a new vaio vgn sr41 a month ago. Opened to check, registered and then put it away as 'transition' from old to new laptop took time. Yesterday, opened it again for the second time, started creating recovery discs and in process noted that the laptop had a slight 'rocking' as if a rubber foot is missing. checked the base, all rubber feet in place but it has a annoying 'rock' owing to what appears to be an uneven base! Although slight, it is annoying when trying using laptop. Just out of 30 day period from supplier, so rang sony tech to arrange due inspection. They are collecting but say might be CHARGEABLE repair!?! I informed them it is a factory/assembly defect as laptop is pristine/new condition, so remains to be seen what happens! Anybody had similar problems?
