battery help

Hi

I have a VGN-FE41Z laptop and i never use the battey as i run it off the mains but yesterday in system tray it started to say no battery detected,is this a fault or has the battery broke as i have only had the laptop for not much more than a year.

How can i get the computer to detect there is a battery.

a simple way to check if this is a battery or possible hardware problem is to take your Vaio to a local stockist and ask if you can try another similar battery in your Vaio..
