Battery time on Vaio VPCEB3S1E

I have a Vaio VPCEB3S1E since 8 monthes and has used it a few times a mounth.

I have almost allways used the AC power coord but tried to use it with only battery.

I have tried 4 times and written down the battery time when almost not using the computer at all. All four times I get 40-50 minutes. Is that really normal. The specification says 3 hours and a review I found said " approximately 2.5 hours with average use".

Is there something wrong with my battery or the computer?

What Power Scheme do you have selected?  You should have Vaio Optimised or Vaio Max Battery selected when on batteries.

Do you have the Battery Care Function enabled?  Does the battery charge to 100%.

That said, I don't think many get anywhere near the specified battery life.
