I maybe wrong here, but on my VAIO (AR51SU) there is S-Video and HDMI (HDMI is output, S-Video is both), but as far as I know there is no way to record the TV. There is the option to record what you're watching on TV on your VAIO, but to make use of that you have to have an antenna in the back of your VAIO. It's easy to record TV on your VAIO if you're using an antenna into the back of it though.
