Bios Downgrade??

Hy all, especially Thal, Blencogo and so on,
linked to one thread in the Ubuntu Forum and a thread which wants to solve the issue that only Sony FN keys doesn't work ( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=465491 )

I wanted to ask some questions. Maybe we'll need Firebrigade, but first I wanted to ask you Eperts, and all other public users in the English section.
a) Is there an abiliy of a Bios downgrade? -> there was an upgrade with Vista Express upgrade - which deleted necesarry options for the FN key use.
-> Should I recover the XP MCE for a Bios downgrade?

b) Is there someone else who has got this Problem with other Linux Distributions?

Sorry benste, I don't know that much about it.

I had always thought that it is not possible to flash a previous version of the BIOS and it would be necessary for Sony to release a "BIOS Rollback" update.

In any event, this is a dangerous thing to do and I would speak to Sony first before looking at any workarounds.
