Bought this second hand and the computer boots ok however the screen is black/blank.
If I shine a bright light on it I can see that windows has booted but obviously the backlight isnt working.
I tried replacing the screen - it is an HD 1080p type model LG make, model LP156WF1 (TL) (C1).
This gives the same problem - no backlight. I understand this is an LED backlit model and therefore doesnt use an inverter so this cant be the problem either right?
Any other ideas what might be going on. It works fine if I connect it via HDMI to a monitor so its not the graphics card etc
