BlueRay Drive no longer works

Hi,

I own a Sony Vaio VPCEC2S0E laptop, and I've recently reinstalled Windows 7 (from the Recovery Partition) to the orginal factory settings. Having reinstalled all the Windows updates and my software, I've now discovered that the Blue Ray DVD drive no longer works. The drive has Blue Ray (read) and DVD/CD read/write capability. The DVD/CD read/write work fine, but the computer/Windows doesn't recognise the drive as a Blue Ray drive, and thus won't play Blue Ray DVD's anymoe:-( The drive in question is an Optiarc BD-ROM BC-5500H

I've tried uninstalling the driver in Device Manager, but on reboot it make no difference. I suspect I need a Sony drive for this drive. Any idea?

James
