booting vaio from usb flash

Hi everybody is it possible for a sony A series vaio to boot from a usb flash or other usb removable device?

I don't know.
Look at your BIOS and set USB on the first.

( I can't do this (PCGFR-315S))

The only device you can use is a Sony USB floppy drive.

YES, for example for a VIRUS-check or an OS (you can put LINUX on a USB flash RAM)

1,44MB isn't enough for this

So to make things clear I cant boot either from usb flash drive or usb external hard disks only from sony usb floppy drive?
That weird I bought vaio on july is amazing that sony didn't add this functionality on bios when all desktop computer of the same period had it. :slight_frown: :thinking:
