Hello, I recently have become the owner of a vaio laptop (FS115Z) and so far am very happy with it, touch wood! (I have had a GRV 616 in the past that develped numerous problems-but thats another story!!)
I now want to connect to broadband (ntl), there is a desktop computer in the house which I also want connected, however I am a little confused as to what equipment I will need to make this wireless connection. Do I only need a router? my laptop has WLAN - does this mean I don't need an adapter? As you probably can see I am a novice when it comes to these things!!
Any help would be welcome (also can anyone recommend a good router, or will any do?)
Cheers
Vix
You need a ADSL Router. You must connect the Router with your broadband and the PCs with the Router.
Hi
You only need this - you wire it via the cable provided to the desktop PC, and use your in built hardware in the VAIO to connect.
