burning time for a blue ray disc

Hi melonfarmer,
Actually I do not have muchj experience with the burning time since I have done quite some tests with a small footage.After that I burned a video of about 20 minutes on a TDK -RE disc and as far as I remember it took a bit more than 20 minutes.
I burned directly from tape on my Sony HCE-1.As far as I can check it was about 4.5 Gb.
As soon as I have some more experience I will come back on this subject.

A full BD takes around 1hr 30mins apparenly @ 1x.

I'd not buy one, there's no films out for it yet, so it's false HD really.

There's no point owning this equipment if only 5 channels are in HD and no movies are encoded for it.
