According to the specs the FE41S does not have a Secure Digital (SD) card slot..

Actually Sony supply a PC express card that will take SD cards so as long as you have that pluged its find. Just so you know it is internal as it slots in the side.

FE series are very good.

Just buy a cheap 17-in-1 card reader - shouldn't be more than £5

Well i got one with my FE series Notebook and my girlfiend got one with her C series notebook so i am guessing its just something they supply with it.

yes i got one with mine, little silver card adapter, it takes SD, XD and MMC. Model number is VGP-MCA20.

I am sure there is a driver update to allow it to use all the modern cards. I mean Sony released an update for the internal MStick slots in the older notebooks to they could support the 8GB cards - Here
