I have a new Windows 8 laptop bought this month and have an issue with the Calendar app installed. I have watched Calendar appss tutorials and I should be able to add Birthdays. however, no differing calendar types are showing on the left. The Birthday caklendar option is unavailable in Settings>Options.
The calendar appears to be correctly allocated to my Windows user account.
I have attached a screen print that shows there are no Birthday calendar options in a box on the left hand side.
Please can someone help as I would like to utilise this calendar but do not want to refresh the pc entirely as i have only juts got my personal software and data installed and do not want to have to start again
Did try to use Sony support on their web opage as the VAIO is in warranty but the support site either fails or sends me down blind alleys, regardless of what browser I use.
