Can my UK Vaio laptop play US and Australian DVDs?

I was looking for some DVDs but could only find US (zone 1) and Australian (zone 4) versions. Would my VPCEH3C5E UK Vaio laptop be able to play them?

Hi ViscountHoratio and welcome.


The DVD Drive will be set to Zone2 (Europe). It is only possible to change the region 5 times before the drive becomes locked to the last region used.


You can buy an external "Region Free" DVD drive or you can find some other suggested fixes with Google - at your own risk.
