I have been think for a while of purchasing an HD camcorder to make my own home movies and to edit the footage on my laptop. However I tried a Panasonic camcorder a while ago and it didn't play the footage back from it properly. I have since used Standard definition camcorders with no problem but I would really like to use HD footage. Does anyone know whether the Kodak Zi8 will work with my laptop? If you can play Blu-ray Discs on the laptop why won't footage work from HD camcorders?
