CAN'T PLAY BLU RAY CONTENT USING WINDVD CONNECTED TO A SONY HDTV

Hey.

I can't play commercial Blu-ray disc CONTENT using WinDVD BD on a Sony FW21Z connected via HDMI to a Sony 40EX503 HDTV.

A message comes up on WinDVD saying:

"Your display environment does not support protected content playback."

Blu-ray Discs are fine played on the FW21Z.

Firmware and software are up to date.

The OS is Vista 32 bit Home Premium.

I hope someone can help, please. i am completely stumped.

Hi,

Copy protection of Blu-Ray discs stops you playing movies on more than one display.

You are probably trying to play it on the TV and on the Vaio screen at the same time.

Press Fn + F7 to turn off the Vaio's screen and chose only one output to your TV via HDMI and hopefully all will be OK.

There is another post from Viper, which has been answered, that was posted earlier in the Club VAIO forum - http://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/message/607491#607491

Seems the two forums is causing confusion..:smileyconfused:
