Cannot update using Vaio Updater

About:

    - Vaio FW11E
    - Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
    - Adminstrator account with UAC on
Problem:
Cannot update using Vaio Updater (version 4)
Start > Vaio Updater 4 > Go to Vaio Web Support > Choose country
Select all for download > Click 'Update Now'

And then I get this message:

"You must be a local administrator on your computer to be able to use Vaio update."

Any help, would be useful. As I would like to update my Vaio software.

Thanks.

Hi Stormer-R34,

You have to be logged on as an administrator, or disable (temporary) the UAC (user account control). To do that, go to:
Control Panel > User Account and Family settings > Change Security Settings > unselect "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer".
Reboot the computer and now you can update all you like.

Hi DJ_Arno,
Thanks for the help, but I figured out what the problem was.
Then I couldn't find this thread.

Problem created by:
- Sandboxie
Reason Why?
- Sandboxie has a feature called DropMyRights, with that activated my IE not running with Admin Privelages.
Solution:
Removed IE from Force Start with Sandboxie, then tried Vaio Update and it worked.

Problem Solved.
