Hey,
My cd drive is running way too fast so it's impossible to install something are burn something on a cd. I had the problem under windows xp, but now I've installed windows vista and the problem is still there. Does someone got a solution
Go out a buy a cd cleaner disc but make sure you don't touch the reader lens unless with a lens cleaner cloth. If that doesn't work then contact Vaio Link and make a case to have it picked up and replaced. If it's out of warranty then a good computer repairer will be cheaper.
Hi Sikkel,
I'm not sure if Vista can manage the drive speed. I would use Nero Drivespeed to slow down your drive.
You can download it free from HERE but I don't know if this free version is Vista compatible.
You may have to buy NERO 7
EDIT: Morning Tony!!
Sikkel,
If you are still within warranty then follow Tony's advice - try slowing the drive down if you are out of warranty. This may not be the problem!!!
Hello there Blencogo. Taking the tribe out to the park soon. Just waiting for the UKHistory channel program on Brazil's Pantanal to finish recording incase it doesn't automatically...not very trusting yet. My wife is from a family of soya farmers near the Pantanal. Bonito is where we had our honeymoon and it is literally 'Beautiful' :smileyblush:
