i have a vgn-a295 laptop.the last 2-3 days can't recognise easily the cds and dvds tha i put in the player.what happens? my quarranty expired just today but this problem occured on thursday and on friday.does sony covers the cost of repairing?

I think I have the same problem with you. but I have sloved it already!. Can I ask you a question? how many buttons your laptop got to reject CD? and which button you press at that time when problem happen? If you anser it maybe I can help you. It quite easy to slove! just let me know. Ok?:smileywink:

it has 2 buttons on on the cd player machine and one near it.when i pun a cd/dvd the hole system stops working for a while and then it shows me that the cd tha i have put in has no free space and no used space.then i press either the first or the secont button and if im lucky the cd comes out.i'm worrying about the quarantie

you mean you press both of button but I still the same. Fortunately, CD will come out . is it the same with DVD? or just CD?
If your driver is normal with DVD but have problem with CD I think that you can try it! when your DVD driver come out. you easy to see the len above the motor to move the len up and down. you push the motor go out the DVD keeper until you can not move it anymore. after that you leave you CD and try again. I think it should me better now!!:smileywink:
