Hey folks....
the surface of a onyx-black display is somewhat more rugged thanthese matt black older displays like on my GRT785B... if you should ever happen to sneeze or caugh or talk spit-balls towards you display, then wipe it off emediately... if you let it dry it will scorch that top matt surface... and one other thing... never ever try to peel an orange while sitting at your notebook.
Joe
Thanks for the tips Joe, I always try to sneeze away from the PC, and cough with my hand over my face.
hey kee,
true... but imagin this... you bend down to scratch your leg while your still holding on to the mouse with your right hand, as you come back up your nose is starting to twitch and itch and at the same time a fast reaction message is poping up in the game you are playing on your notebook, while you reach for the keyboard with your left hand and still holding on to the mouse with your right hand, your nose is overthrowing the itch into a heafty sneeze directly at the display... i mean everything is possible... hihi... grinning
That's why I have mine on a desk when I'm not on the moove.
Cripes! I've had this pcg fr 395 ep just a week and I've sneezed on it already. Have I burned the marks into the screen? Didn't want to clean it up unil I knew exactly what I should use!
hi,
use a damp cloth to wet the screen... then use one or more paper towels to rub it dry... do not over do it with on paper towel... use a couple to rup it shiny.... do not use any type of window cleaners or others.... it there are any type hard spots... put a bit of spit on your finger... moisten the tough stain.... an then keep on rubbing an wipeing it with a clean paper towel..... it worked for my GRT785B

Cheers Joe.
I use Klear Screen.
Brilliant product, makes my 16.1" LCD look like when it came out of the box that exciting Friday in September...
Paper towels/tissues scratch the screen, you may not see it at first but after a while it will look like an ants been ice skating on you screen. Use a dedicated TFT screen cleaner.
One of the few recommendations for screen cleaner that I've seen is from Samsung:
To clean your screen Samsung recommend an optical instrument cleaner like 692-918 available from RS components. A lint free soft cloth is essential and as m3bhp says: never use paper towels they leave millions of scratches over time.
