docking station

First, appologize for my poor english.

I have a docking station VGP-PRSZ1 for my Vaio notebook SZ4XWN.
I also have to 17' screens which i would like to use to see my notebook screen without using the notebook screen. I Plug the first on the VGA and the second on the DVI-D docks but The n-vidia graphic card tool only see these solutions : notebook screen + external screen 1 or notebokk screen +external screen 2. I would like to use both external screen (screen divided between both and not the same screen on each) and close my notebook screen. At this stage I am able to see the screen divided between the notebook screen and the first or ths second external screnn.

I hope this is clear. Can someone help me ?

Ben

Hi benoitboru

welcome to Club Vaio..

Something like the Matrox Dualhead2go should allow you to connect two monitors to your Vaio..

Hi benoitboru,

Thalamus's suggestion is the only way to do what you are asking.

You cannot connect to two external screens any other way - the Docking Station will not allow both VGA and DVI to be used at once. This is the same with all laptops.

Welcome to the Club.

Thank you for your tips !
What about the internal graphic card Nvidia Geforce7400; no conflict if I use the matrox external stuff?

Cheers

It should be OK - it just connects to the VGA output.

I have never tried it but it seems to be the only solution.
