Does RAMD and Hard Drive upgrade void warranty?

Hi, I just got Sony Vaio VPC-SA. I am planing to add RAM and upgrade Hard Drive to SSD.
Would this void warranty?

Hi Matthew and welcome.

Adding RAM is OK as Sony give instructions on how to do this in the User Guide.  However, I think changing the hard drive is likely to invalidate the warranty as it will involve opening the case.

The only way to be absolutely sure is to give Vaio Support a call.
