Drop-down menu of icons at top of desktop screen.

When I first used my Vaio (E-series) a drop-down icon menu appeared at the top of the desktop screen, which appeared when the mouse hoverered around the top centre of the screen.  Now I cannot get the icons to appear and cannot find any reference to this facility in the manual.  Can anyone help me to get the menu ribbon back, please?

Yes, that's the screen I was trying to find.  The hot-spot to bring it down is where the Mcaffee icon is, in the top centre.

I've sorted it, at least until I next boot up the computer.  You gave me the name of the program (Vaio Gate) so I used the restore facility and got it back.  Many thanks.
