DVD/CD WRITING PROBLEM

I HAVE A SONY VIAO PCG-FR285M.. I CAN PLAY AUDIO CDS AND PLAY DVD BUT WHEN I WANT TO WRITE TO CD IT WILL NOT ALLOW ACCESS.. I HAVE TRIED RE-INSTALLING WINTVGATE FROM THE RECOVERY PROGRAMS BUT IT NOW STATES UNAVAILABLE..

I HAVE LOTS TO STORE.. NEED HELP

First of all go to My Computer then right mouse click on your cd/dvd drive and select properties. Then click on the recording tab and half way down there is a tick box, which says allow cd recording. Make sure that the box is ticked.

If this doesn't work then think about using a different program for copying ie Real Player.
