I am trying to play multi-region disks on my viao, is it possible to download a patch or drivers, that will enable me to play these discs.

Any help would be apreciated

The easiest way is to try VLC player from http://www.videolan.org

It will play most DVDs.

We'll need the now the model number of your optical drive.
Most optical drives have their region settings set in the firmware of the optical drive. if you're lucky there will be a patched firmware online somewhere but you probably have a Matshita Drive which are kind of hard to patch if I read some sites.
Just find out your model number and google is your friend.
