Hi, like many windows users i had no EPG info at the start of Jan - which sems to have been resolved by MS(?).
(I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium on a TP3 'cake tin'.)
That said, ITV has recently (last week or so) failed to download the programme info.
Also, Ch5 has long stopped downloading the info which pre-dates both of these (couple of months maybe?).
Anyone else having same issues plse?
And, are there any known fixes for same pls?
Many thanks in advance of something blndingly obvious !
Hi iandavie7,
Although I don’t have a solution I can confirm that you are not alone on this.
ITV has had no program information for the last couple of weeks but as far as I can remember channel 5 has never provided information.
I can only assume that this is a licensing problem that may or not be resolved by Microsoft or the EPG provider. I haven’t tried rescanning as yet but this may be worth a try.

Hi Rich
thanks. yes, that's "where" i am too.
Ch 5 did, once upon a time, have info but been a while.
Do you know who / where to chase this up ? Is it MS? Or who is the EPG provider do you know plse?
Thanks.
Hi iandavie7,
I guess that MS are ultimately responsible but I seem to remember reading somewhere in that long thread I linked to in our previous discussion that the EPG was outsourced to a third party - can't locate that exact reference at the moment.

There is a way of providing guide feedback on the connect site, http://connect.microsoft.com. Not sure how effective it is. I have to admit to nearly buying new tuners over Christmas because I thought the issue was with them being network based and not USB or internal cards.
Hi rich,
did you ever find that old thread please about the EPG? (I am struggling to resolve otherwise).
Surely not all EPG users are having these problems??
Hi iandavie7,
This is the thread from The Green Button I was referring to – it is VERY long and I don’t have time to search for the exact reference.

And here is a link to your original post on this subject.

As far as I can tell we all have the same problem. Microsoft may fix the issue at their leisure or maybe not...
