I have a sony notebook the model is PCG-FX205K when i start the computer I get 2 error messages
openDll()failed
and
Error loading Snyevent.Dll
i think some files might have been errased with a cleanup facility can you help
Use Windows Restore to restore your system to a date prior to using the cleanup program (Assuming you are using XP)
If you aren't using XP then try reinstalling the Sony Shared Libraries and Sony Utilities. These should be on your recovery disks(s) somewhere. You may also find updated versions at www.vaio-link.com

Have you had a look at www.vaio-link.com to see if the install programs are there?
I am guessing that the two problems are related to the same issue.

Have managed to get rid of the Sny event error message however im still getting the message
PTLACP1
open.Dll()failed
when I start my notebook up can you tell me what this relates to and if possible how to get rid of it thanks
A few things I would do:
1) Install Sony Shared DLLs
2) Reinstall Sony Hotkey Utility
3) Reinstall Sony Notebook Setup.
These should all be on VAIO Link, your recovery CDs, or on the FTP site.
