Hey guys,
I have a Vaio FS315B which I recently formatted with a clean install of Windows XP Professional as it only came with Windows XP Home, but I can't get my 10/100mbps Network Controller to work. Any idea which is the manufacturer so that perhaps I could check their site to download the driver?
Thanks in advance!
This is usually supported natively by Windows.
I think you have an Intel card, you can usually see this in Device Manager.
Thanks for the fast reply but no there is no native support for it...In Device Manager I just see a Question mark next to Ethernet Controller but further there is no info...
Right click it and do uninstall - once done reboot.
Thanks. Just did that but it can't find any driver...The wizard could not find the necessary software blabla...
Go to VAIO-Link.com and download the drivers and utilities.
Hmmm...works now..strange...I had downloaded the drivers package before...maybe I just needed to install the newest Intel wireless drivers first which I did...
Thanks 10x Kee-Lo, I'll tell you, you made quite a bit of my day I feel quite happy now that all drivers are installed on my system. Cheers and have a great week!
No problem, nice to see people finding the information useful.
You have a great week too, hopefully an Ethernet enabled week
