anyone know how to send fax (receive) on broadband without disconnecting ethernet.

You normally send a fax via your 56k modem

There are a number of programs that will allow you to send fax via email using XP – for a fee. There are also free utilities that will allow a limited number of free fax via email. Try a Google (faxing via broadband)…

Another alternative is to purchase a multi function printer that incorporates a fax facility.
