FE11H What memory to buy

Hi i have FE11H and about to upgrade ram memory, is there point of buing PC2-5300 memory, will it work at 667 mhz, becouse i tryed to install 1gb kigston KTA-MB667/1GB chip from friends laptop and sisoft sandra showed that memory works at 533 mhz speed?

Hi Mauzzer and welcome to ClubVAIO.

Your FE11H should be able to use 667mHz memory modules.

See the recommendations from CRUCIAL. Even Sony recommend 667mHz modules.

Did you remove both 512MB 533mHz memory modules from the Vaio as all the memory will only run at the speed of the slowest module installed?

i taked out those too 512 modules and installed 1 gb module, i don't know maybe sisoftsandra detects speed wrong, becouse as i understand if i install 667 mhz module, memory speed shoud be 667, sandra shows me that speed is 533 ?, maybe there is some more accurate software to determine memory speed?
