The first computer I ever used was a fondly remembered HP 2000F connected to an ASR 33 teletype via a 110 baud modem.

The first home computer I had was the Texas Instruments TI99/4A

OMG this is really going to show my age!

First computer used was a Fortran punch card machine (at Uni). It was the size of a family car and I never did successfully programme any structural calculations.

First home computer was an 8086 machine with 640 kB memory and a 12 Mb hard disk.

How things have changed!!!

I remember them, I used to travel to Harwell to feed the cards into a reader!

My first computer was a Commodore 64, eventually replaced by an Amstrad 2286, with 40Mb hard drive, floppy drive and a 286 12Mhz processor. I think I upgraded the memory to 4Mb?

my first computer was a zx spectrum 81. rubber keys and manic miner which i recall took forever to load on the tape cassette player and made one hell of a racket! but the game and the graphics were awsome!
all the neighbours were jealous

does anyone remember getting hours of satisfaction doing this

10 PRINT HELLO MY NAME IS THICKLOAF
20 GOTO 10

haha.. them were the days when you could see your name flashing all over the portable tv screen thinking you were the boy on the block!
