fn buttons vgn-fz21s

Installed vista ultimate and downlaoded the utilties and drivers on club vaio site cant get any of the fn keys to work aswell as the s1 and av buttons.
Dont want to go back to my recovery discs either as ultimate was bought and spent like £200 on.
Any solutions are welcome and is sony going to do anything about it if their is not any fix yet.

Hi badman112 and welcome to Club Vaio.

I have just had a look at the FZ2_Utilities.zip download and it appears to me that there are some SIX essential Utilities missing!

SonyUtils dll
Setting Utilities Series
VAIO AV Mode Launcher
VAIO Camera Utility
Vaio Update
VAIO Hardware Diagnostics

I don't know why these are missing from the download. All I can suggest is: -

1. Look on your Recovery DVDs for the full set of Utilities.
2. Download the Utilities for the FZ11 (FZ1_Utilities.zip) - I have had a look and the full set is there for the FZ11-Series but I cannot guarantee they will work although I would expect them to.

You will need to reinstall all the Utilities again because they must be installed in order to get the special keys working. Follow the following order: -

1. SonyUtils DLL (must be installed first)
2. Sony Shared Library
3. VAIO Event Service
4. Setting Utilities Series
5. The remaining Utilities in any order.
