Thank you for your posting Re; Sound/Speaker Problem
I enabled the sony logo at boot up, still no sound, i also increased the sound volume to maximum from with in BIOS,the BIOS interface is very simple one and there are no other options to play with.
I dont remember dropping the laptop so i am myself astonished how the speakers could have got disconnected
Can you please tell how can i check the sound in DOS,
I am using windows XP home edition and my laptop did not come with any bootable CD
