Full format ... lost the partition as well !

Hi .... I was finding my sony viao to be running a little bit slower so I formatted it.
When I restarted the laptop told me no operating system found ... realised that I have wiped her clean right enough.
I have put vista back on and have almost everything running , however , the s1 , s2 , the eject button and all the channel buttons do not work now and in the system I notice that there are drivers not installed for a mass storage controller device and also a Multimedia controller.
Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

Hi Jorus08,

What model do you have?

Have you downloaded the Original Drivers Package for your model and installed all the drivers (such as the Flashmedia driver which is your Mass Storage Device).

You also need to download the Original Utilities Package and install all the utilities if you want the special keys Fn, S1, S2 to work.

There are a lot better ways to speed your Vaio up than to reformat it.
