FW56E recovery disc

Hi all, Merry Christmas.
I am trying to burn the system recovery discs, but when I place a Memorex DVD-R disc in drive this is not recognised by the laptop.These are brand new discs
I am selecting the 3 x DVD option.
Any advice would be appreciated

We have some possible solutions here...

Normally, this procedure (Create Recovery Discs) is easy and quick.

Can I suggest Sony discs instead of other discs ? Some reported issues are solved with this easy change.
