I have the VAIO LA-2 series with Vista Home Premium 32bit connected to the internet with a Wireless Dynamode G-Router and I would like to change it for the Belkin NN+ Wireless Router. Is the N or NN+ Router compatible with my LA-2 VAIO?
From the specifications of the VGC-LA2 here: -
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/specifications/index.aspx?m=VGC-LA2&l=en_GB
it appears that it does not support any N connection.
It only supports 802.11 b/g
Thanks for the information. Will the N-Router work if I connect it directly to the Ethernet 10 BASE-T/100 BASE-TX socket?
Yes because you are not using a wireless connection.
Most routers will be backward compatible to b/g modes and should work with your Vaio but not in wireless-N configuration.
Thanks very much for all your information.
