G-sense not sensing..

The G-sense of my Vaio Pocket does not sense any contact. This makes my unit unusable. What can I do? I am i India where I cannot get the unit serviced. Is there any way I can get it to work??

I take it you have tried a reset by using a needle in the small hole on the underside?

Yes I did. It did not immediately work. However after the battery fully drained out and was recharged afresh, the unit did come up and initialize the G-sense.
