can anyone tell me if you can upgrade the graphic card on a pcv-w1/g multimedia desktop please ?.:smileyconfused:

As far as I know - impossible i'm afraid because of it being laptop-like in construction.

At the moment only desktop PC's allow you to easily change the hardware inside your computer.

When removable laptop GPU's hit the market it will be pretty successful.

I think it would be possible as it is on the motherboard but you would really need to be an engineer to make the motherboard change.

I wanted o update the graphics card in my vgc m1 but i am told the only way to do it would be to solder off the mobility chipthen solder on an new one which requires some skill and a knowledge of how to upgrade the mother board.So if you know a sony enginer I guess it is possible but very unlikely.

Wouldn't suggest doing it unless you engineer for a living

That GPU is pretty good for most things any way apart from wanting to play the latest in computer games.
