Headphone Sockets

I have a set of Logitech Headphones and when I plug them into the jack sockets I do not get anything at all I have had a look in control panel Sound and also Device manager but I cannot find any headphones devices. Are these sockets turned off and if so can they be turned ON

Thanks in Advance

Hi Steve,

From Device Manager > Sound > Playback tab, is Speaker/HP (headphones) an option and does it have a green tick indicating that it is the default device?

If not right click that option and select ‘Set as Default Device’.

That said, if you hear sound from the built in speakers then plugging headphones into the correct jack should work. Have you tested the headphones on another appliance?

Which Vaio model do you have?
