Hello Problems with my Sony Vaio VGN-A215Z

Hello everybody, i have some questions to other vaio users! My First notebook was the Sony Vaio Z600NE!!! REALLY GOOD MACHINE! and i would prefer some small nice device again! but i get this VGN-A215Z for a really good price ... but what happend? i have bought it 3.Jan.!!! And have to send it back in the middle of March!!! The DVD-RW/CD-RW was down! It is a liteon, so i do not like liteon at all .. but what i really want to know is if someone else have got similar problems with that drive?
Also why i can´t give passwords with big or small numbers or writings? (bios! With my Vaio Z600NE no problems at all!!!!)

Hope their are someone who can help me because if not i want to buy an apple!!!! Less weight! Longer life!!!! and it looks nearly as good as the Vaio!

Yeah the optical drive is external.

so you have one? seb21! From where? how much did you pay? I want to buy it in taxes, because i do not have so much money in my hands! (students do never have much money isn´t it? :-D)
