Hi everyone,

I have been given a Vaio PCG-7164M laptop, serial no 28208857 5000xxx and need to put the drivers on for various things as the old h/drive was removed.

I have reloaded Vista and it seems fine but some of the things in the device manager are not installed correctly.

I can't find anything to help anywhere everything I try is not brining me an answer.

I searched the Sony site, nothing, entered all the numbers etc in the boxes, nothing.

Please someone help me, tried google, the lot!

Any advice would be so apreciated

To remove complete serial number.

Hi Andy,

You are quoting the chassis model from the under side of the notebook. Have a look on the screen surround for the product model - you may find that it is VGN- NS series.

Now I do not know whether it is a vgn-ns30e P/S or W!

Hi Andy,

The letter following the "/" is the colour of the casing - the drivers and utilities are the same for each.
